Ptychomitrium polyphyllum - Check the leaf tip for teeth

Zygodon rupestris
Zygodon rupestris - Look for gemmae at leaf bases. Under the microscope these can tell you which species it is.

Fissidens exilis
Fissidens exilis - A couple of these found growing on a decaying leaf stem which is a good pointer for ID.


Ceratodon purpureus - Look for red stem and leaf curved under the whole length.
